Jamie Columbus is a painter and photographer whose works are exhibited widely and included in international, university, corporate and private collections. Columbus’ art is featured in the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and her photographs are published in the award-winning book Becoming a Chef by Van Nostrand Reinhold. This work is on display at the Peter Kump School of Cooking in NYC.

Jamie has licensed her greeting card designs to Chronicle Giftworks, and helped dozens of not-for-profit organizations, hospitals, universities, and corporations by creating outstanding identity packages featuring original art, later used to launch events including school reunions, anniversary celebrations, and the founding of new ventures.

A documentary of her work,
Jamie Columbus, Portrait of an Artist, has been produced on CD by Eastman Kodak Company.

Earth Tones Woman, Jamie’s artful, photo-journalistic coffee table book, features a spicy rainbow of exotic locales, intriguing poetry and contemporary subject matter. Her photographs honor tribal women living in Central and South America, the Middle East and Africa. Images of her subjects capture color, soul and the sacredness of daily living while revealing her desire to preserve the dignity of indigenous cultures and cross-cultural harmony.

Earth Tones Women: A Modern Gypsy’s Photo Journal  was exhibited at the Rochester Contemporary Art Center RoCo) in Rochester, NY, February 6-March 15, 2009 in collaboration with the Rochester International Women’s Day celebration (www.RIWD.org), an event planned by a committee of 24 Rochester women. Jamie is excited to be chairing the 2010 RIWD celebration to be held at Good Luck" on March 7, 2010 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Professional Focus
Choosing to specialize in the neighborhood where she lived for eighteen years, Jamie has a breathtaking professional presence in Houston-Barnard. Since 1995, she has sold or listed 50 properties on Ambassador Drive, Sandringham Road and Trevor Court.

As Chair of the HB Neighborhood Association and as an active member of the area Garden Club, Jamie worked to build and beautify the HB, and heighten its sense of community.

Owners of Rochester’s Grand Homes recognize the added value of Jamie's representation,as she has the process of marketing and selling a property down to a science, Her results speak for themselves and her homeowners, many of whom are repeat and referring speak for her, as below:

From homeowner Dr. Charles Plosser, former dean, University of Rochester’s Simon School of Business:

“Janet and I were extremely happy with Jamie’s ability to get our house together in a way that was attractive to buyers. She knew everything that needed to be done, and was effective in helping us get it done.”

“When our homeowners ‘go with the program, results are outstanding,” says Jamie, who listed, then sold, the Plosser’s home at 95 Ambassador Drive it’s first day on the market. This following six weeks in preparation and managing contractors who brought to perfection this extraordinary historic home.

Jamie purchased designer soaps from Bath & Body Works, and stunning flowers from Wegman’s to merchandise the property for it’s entrance to the market, believing that presenting a home at its best will not only make it sell more quickly, but also achieve its highest price. That conviction, meshed with her know-how and energy, differentiates Jamie's approach to selling a home in today’s challenging market.
